Zebrano - a beautiful wood from Gabon and the Cameroons. I found a quartersawn board of zebrano in a wood yard in Holland while I was looking for something else. I just had to buy it as it was so striking. It suits the silk finish on this 5B bass perfectly. The bass sounded particularly sweet (I do not know how much the wood contributes to this) with Armstrong humbuckers, Aguilar 3 band EQ (switchable midrange, active/passive switch and passive tone control that operates in both modes). The chrome Schaller hardware looks good on the zebrano and the Indian rosewood fingerboard matches it too.
