Original Reacter Bass

This original Reacter 4 bass was returned to me in February 2006 to have the electronics upgraded to an Aguilar OBP-3. The serial number dates it to March 1987 and it has been kept in great condition despite the high mileage. It is interesting to see how the Reacter basses have evolved over the years from the sharp edges of the early models to the smoother, softer (and slicker?) contours of the original. The neck on this one has a slim V profile which was typical of the basses I was making at the time. The headstock is also longer and more pointy than the current basses. The top wood is Brazilian walnut and the quality of the mahogany I was able to get then for the body core and neck is wonderful.

Unfortunately the records for all my instruments made before about 1989 are locked into an old style computer that will no longer boot so I can't give any more details. If anybody has an old Amstrad PCW that still works and could make a printout for me I'd be happy to get this done.

Contact me if I can tell you more about this or any other instrument.
