Rosewood Cutaway Jumbo

Cutaways on Jumbos are not really common but they work well and don't look out of place. In fact having a cutaway might even widen the sound spectrum as the cutaway 'tightens' the top and this should improve the high frequency response while the large body and top handle the usual big Jumbo sound. This one has a back and sides of fine Indian rosewood with the addition of a centre back panel of figured Tasmanian blackwood which makes it quite a looker. The neck is a laminate of mahogany, figured maple and walnut and is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. I used the Schaller Vintage M6 tuners in gold to add to the classy look. The creamy binding is quartersawn Irish sycamore.

A luxury look which is matched by it's sound and playability. This is a special guitar.
