Akira's ASAP Cutaway. This is the second guitar I have made for Akira Fujino to his specification. The top is yellow cedar and the solid wood rosette is splated beech. Back and sides are very fine Swiss flamed maple which I bought in a veneering plant in Basel. The neck is a laminate of flamed maple and walnut with a Macassar ebony fingerboard. The bridge, headstock and binding are figured walnut. To compensate for the cutaway and improve the bass response the body depth is slightly deeper than the normal ASAP.
