This TVR Baritone was the first acoustic baritone guitar I made. Based on the ASAPJ Cutaway body with some internal bracing changes to handle the high string tension the top, back and sides are all made from khaya mahogany from the same board, the neck is a laminate of maple and mahogany with an ebony fingerboard. Binding is figured maple and the bridge is Rio rosewood. Spalted beech is used for the rosette. Body finish is high gloss with a slight red mahogany toner while the neck is silk. A Highlander undersaddle/condenser mic combination does the pickup job. The long scale (730mm), thicker strings (0.016-0.074) and special bracing allow the BEADF#B tuned beast to sing as only a baritone can. You need strong fingers to cope with the extra tension but it is worth the exercise to experience what a baritone can do. Thanks to Tim van Roy for the order it and giving me the chance to make it.
