More beautiful Irish wood - back and front facings of burr elm with a core of creamy sycamore. Through neck of maple and walnut. This was a 'one off' custom bass made for Del Palmer who designed it himself and made a model of it in the workshop using plywood and cardboard in about 30 minutes. It took me a little longer to do the solid version! Single magnetic pickup in the 'sweet' spot with RMC saddles in the height adjustable, acoustic looking ebony bridge. An RMC Polydrive 1 MIDI system is fitted and Del uses this in the studio to drive an Axon (never sure how to spell this - I have seen it written in different ways). What else? The body wings are hollowed out, scale is 35" and Del's headstock design gives the strings a straight pull. Control cover plate is cut from the back facing.
