Dermot's Shortscale ASAP. Almost 30 years ago Dermot bought a Martin. In 2003 he decided it was time for a new guitar and this is it. Dermot thought that the standard scale length of the Martin was a little long for him and the body a little large so he asked me to build him an ASAP with a short (24"/610mm) scale. I was not convinced that this would work but his instinct was right and it does. Dermot uses 12 guage strings with a slightly thicker low E for definition. Body is Indian rosewood, top is sitka, neck is mahogany and maple. Flamed maple binding and an ebony fingerboard complete the package. Dermot says that his fingers 'bounce off the fingerboard"!

I also make a longscale acoustic model!
