Switches!!! Diarmuid had this idea of adapting an ASAD body to suit his needs so this one has an almost completely hollowed out sapele core with an overlay of green sunburst figured beech, ivoroid binding, three Silver Lace sensor pickups and a Wilkinson trem. But the really interesting bit is the switching. A total of 7 mini-switches control the series/parallel arrangement of the pickups as well as the phasing and the sounds that this can produce are amazing - everything from very convincing 'stratty' tones to a very full humbucking pickup simulation along with many other variations that I cannot begin to describe. Soundwise, possibly the most versatile guitar I have built but, to me, quite complex to navigate! Diarmuid gave me a fragment of breakfast cereal box as his sample of the sunburst colour he wanted. I managed to match it!
