The ASAD Range
The first ASAD guitars (Reacters at the time) were built around 1983. The idea was to make a stylish, versatile, compact, solid bodied, fixed neck guitar that could handle any gig. Over the years nothing much has changed from that original brief but the instruments have evolved and many options have come about usually because of customer requests. Here's an overview.
Three body styles in two sizes - standard or 105 (5% larger)
* contour body
* slab body with or without binding
* Custom carved archtop
Hardwood body core with wide choice of bookmatched exotic overlays.
Fixed (glued-in) rock maple/mahogany laminated neck with veneer detail and rosewood fingerboard.
Custom wound Kent Armstrong, Seymour Duncan or Kinman pickups.
5 way rotary pickup switch giving very wide voicing.
Normal or graduated fretting.
Hand made to order (by me!) so choices include -
* 6 or 7 string
* fret type
* fingerboard radius
* neck profile
* left handed
* many other options to make each guitar suit the customer - just ask about the possibilities.
If you can think of a way to make the ASAD guitar suit the way you play then it can probably be done!
