The regular ASAS Semi is a pretty special guitar but this one has
a few more bells and whistles than normal. First the back, sides
and top are all high grade flamed maple, the neck is a three piece
flamed maple laminate and the ebony fingerboard and headstock have
extensive MOP inlays. The binding all round is flamed maple which
contrasts with the custom colour that was specified. The gold hardware
and Seymour Duncan pickups (with 5 way switch) add to the package.
So what else is there? Well for a start there are RMC saddles in
the bridge which sent their signal to the 8 pin din socket (next
to the regular jack outlet) which connects to an RMC Polydrive IIG
that supplies MIDI voltages as well as one of the best piezo sounds
you can get.

You can see the RMC saddles and also one of the lights from the
in-built Wittman tuner that enables the player to tune silently
onstage by pulling up the volume control. The sum of all this is
a beautiful archtop semi which is very versatile using the magnetic
pickups (anything from jazz to full on rock possible) but can also
work as an acoustic electric and play as any other instrument that
MIDI can provide. Should add that it also has the Rolls Royce of
cases - a custom made Calton.
