Jim's Jumbo Jim Mote lives in sunny Florida and has quite a collection of guitars. And this is the one I built for him. The top is fine sitka, the back and sides rather nice quilted maple with a centre strip of Rio. All binding is Rio. Most of my acoustic necks have a piece of quartersawn flamed maple laminated in for strength, stability and because it looks good! To quote Jim "It looks great but plays and sounds even better". |
