JP Standard. A rare sight. I have not made many of these guitars but love it when I get an order for one. The concept is a semi solid (the mahogany back is hollowed out significantly) with a carved figured top - in this case flamed maple bound with ivoroid. This body construction combined with the Schaller G 50 pickups gives a sound that is on the rocky side of mellow - great edge when needed but also able to do smooth by the bucketload. The glued in neck (made from laminates of flamed and quilted maples) is very slim and the joint is contoured to make for easy access to all the frets at the dusty end. The rosewood fingerboard and headstock are bound with ivoroid. Luxury looks and luxury sounds.
