Another fretless 6 string, again 35" scale, but this time left handed, semi-solid and with a rosewood bound cedar top. This one is based on the body shape of the ASAP acoustic guitar with a thin hollowed out mahogany body and has a maple bolt-on neck. Pickup system is a mixture of piezo and magnetic. The RMC saddles are built into a height adjustable ebony bridge with an ebony stop tail. The EQ system is the EBS two band but without the treble roll-off so this extends the range of the magnetics. Nickel strings are needed for the magnetics to work so the piezo sound, although excellent, is not as "plummy" as with nylon cored strings but the overall versatility that the combination gives means that this bass could handle any gig. |
