Originally this ASAST was to be honey coloured but after
I sprayed on the clear base coats of lacquer it became clear
that the superb Canadian sitka (thank you Kevin!) and
amazing Croatian maple didn't need any colouring at all. I
sent a picture to the customer and he agreed. The customer
did not want over decoration so the soundholes and headstock
are unbound while the scratchplate is plain ebony. The ebony
fingerboard is actually bound with ebony but you have to
look closely to see this. The neck is laminated from flamed
maple with veneer details. The metal hardware is chrome.
So, here she is - a simple, elegant, natural blond. She
will get admiring glances wherever she goes!
