This is the guitar I built for myself a couple of years ago. I used a piece of my Irish walnut for the deeply carved top (from a tree that was felled in a storm in 1983) and the back is Brazillian mahogany. The neck is a laminate of very well flamed maple with a centre strip of Irish walnut. My first 'serious' guitar (a 1961 Gibson SG) has P90 pickups and I liked them then (and still do) so this is what I used. The mini switch connects the two pickups in series and sends the output directly to the volume control regardless of the selector. The resulting midrange boost really hits the amp! return to Electrics
